Pilar Tompkins Rivas is curator of
You Belong Here: Place, People, and Purpose in Latinx Photography, on view at Art on Hulfish (February 11–May 7, 2023), and chief curator and deputy director, curatorial and collections, at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles. Her talk will focus on questions of visibility and belonging in the context of Latinx photography in the United States, exploring how photographers represented in the exhibition address place, people, and purpose.
Monica Huerta, assistant professor of English and American Studies at Princeton University, will introduce the event and moderate audience questions.
