adamo-faiden is an architecture studio established in Buenos Aires in 2005 by Sebastián Adamo and Marcelo Faiden. Their professional practice extends to the field of teaching and research, and has been recognized by international media and institutions. Their work has been exhibited at the San Pablo International Architecture Biennial, the Guggenheim Museum in New York, the Venice Architecture Biennale, the Chicago Architecture Biennial, the LIGA Arquitectura de México space, the Cultural Center from Spain in Buenos Aires, the Storefront for Art & Architecture in New York and at the Princeton University School of Architecture. Four monographic publications compiled the work of adamo-faiden, one of them published by the Spanish publishing house TC Cuadernos, another by Casa Editrice Libria of Italy, another by the Spanish magazine 2G by Gustavo Gili and the first one by the Editorial ARQ of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. Their projects were awarded with the “Gold Medal” at the XII International Biennial of Architecture of Buenos Aires and received the “Policies of trade, tradition and innovation” award at the International Architecture Biennial of Argentina.
Sebastián Adamo was born in Buenos Aires in 1977. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism of the University of Buenos Aires (FADU-UBA) and postgraduate at the Higher Technical School of Architecture of Barcelona of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (ETSAB-UPC). He was a professor at FADU-UBA and Torcuato Di Tella University. He was invited to offer courses and conferences in numerous institutions, including the Princeton University School of Architecture, the University of Porto Architecture School in Portugal, the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, the Polytechnic of Milan, the Royal Institute of British Architects in London, the Illinois Institute of Technology College of Architecture in Chicago, the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, the Higher Technical School of Architecture in Madrid and the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
Marcelo Faiden was born in Buenos Aires in 1977. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism of the University of Buenos Aires (FADU-UBA) graduated with a Honor Diploma, and postgraduate at the Higher Technical School of Architecture from Barcelona of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (ETSAB-UPC). He received the PHD title (ETSAB-UPC) with his thesis “The basement of the tall buildings”. He was a professor at FADU-UBA, University of Palermo and Torcuato Di Tella University. He was invited to offer courses and conferences at numerous institutions, including the Princeton University School of Architecture, the Higher Technical School of Architecture of Madrid, the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, the Higher Technical School of Architecture of Valencia, the Escola da Cidade from Sao Paulo, the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism of the University of Montevideo and the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. He periodically teaches postgraduate courses in the masters of the Escola da Cidade, FADU Udelar, FADU UBA.
