This is the second in a series of technical seminars designed to enhance the skills of teaching faculty, staff and students. Blackboard is a learning management system (LMS) which is a valuable pedagogical tool, for presenting instructional materials, engaging students in collaboration, and assessing their learning. Blackboard provides round-the-clock access to course materials; manages assignments and grades; supports a broad range of information-exchange mechanisms; facilitates student-student and student-faculty interaction, and dramatically reduces the administrative burdens on faculty.
