In this 45-minute session, Murielle Perrier and Raphaël Piguet will present their collaborative effort to use task-based projects within the class sequencing of French 105 and 108 by having the students create a documentary in French 105 and a podcast in French 108. With the objective to enhance language proficiency and pedagogical coherence among courses, they will show how task-based projects have been incorporated in their syllabus, including pre-task examples, scaffolding activities, and several workshops to help students progressively develop their reading, listening, writing and oral skills while being engaged in hands-on experiences and observations. This session will look at examples of pre-task assignments and project possibilities for language coursework.
