Generative Art, Luke Shannon, UG '23 (3965156)
I make generative art (in which the artist deliberately gives some amount of control to an autonomous system). Almost all of my work is a code-generated instance of an algorithm with an infinite, non-repeating output space. For me, shaping such a space is the most complete way to describe the things I feel and see, because it seeks multiplicity and universality rather than an individual manifestation. In order to share my work, I have had three generative art performances with ATL499 where I talked about and made generative art with the public and study body, and then gave that work away for no cost.
