In June 2018, Sharon De La Cruz and Aatish Bhatia conducted a demonstration of the Paper Piano (an electric piano made with conductive ink and an Arduino) at the ACM Interaction Design for Children Conference in Trondheim, Norway to an audience of children, educators, and interaction design researchers. Learn how to build a paper piano here. Paper is available at this link.
They also learned how to build DIY mechanical contraptions with craft tools and cardboard with Paper Mechatronics. In addition to learning about new work in the field of interaction design, they also got to experience the wonderful city of Trondheim and the midnight sun!
