This webinar will go over some of the networked electronic resources listed in PUL’s Russian and Soviet History and Russian Literature Research Guides, resources that allow researchers to work with primary sources related to Russian and Soviet history and culture remotely. The session will look at licensed databases and resources that require Princeton researchers to authenticate using their NetID and password, open or freely-available resources, and resources produced by the Library’s own collecting and digitization efforts. Special attention will be paid to newspapers, journals, and magazines; published collections of historical documents; online editions of belletristic texts; and artifacts of visual culture such as posters and illustrated periodicals. At the end we will offer a brief peek at the curatorial selection process for the Russian component of an exhibition on 20th-century caricature in the planning for spring 2022.
