Molecular Biology graduate student Brian Ell presents his research on micro RNAs as inhibitors of breast cancer bone metastasis and their use as possible therapeutics and clinical biomarkers in the future. Brian identifies the key role of osteoclasts in bone degradation and describes how micro RNAs inhibit proteins from being produced within osteoclasts, thereby reducing osteoclasts, the amount of tumor cells at the bone, and the resulting effect on bone degradation.
