In STC/THR 210 (Storytelling with Technology for Performance) students were prompted to take inspiration from music to create a stop motion animation. Each project used lighting, fabric, and play doh to tell the story, setting tone and mood through coding and wearable technology.
Despite STC/THR 210 being conducted virtually this semester, students used a song, a microcontroller, and four neo-pixels to code and construct these animated narratives. Throughout this course, students collaborated to troubleshoot the most finicky things, from hardware to software to sewing, learning to work together remotely and to be creative in the most complex of circumstances.
