We were originally working on promoting supplier diversity at the University. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have pivoted to working on promoting local businesses in the Princeton area. From our correspondence with a number of local businesses, we have found that most businesses would find a way of notifying the community that they are open and a general increase in awareness of their business status and availability most helpful. We aim to help those businesses by spreading their announcements and information to the community, especially during these difficult times. To do this, we have created the Supporting Princeton Businesses Instagram account (@supportingptonbusinesses), an account run by a group of Princeton University students working to support the local businesses in the Princeton area.
