This research project set out to explore the question of which Premier League team has the worst fans by analyzing team chants scraped from a website called fanchants. Using the Python NLTK library, I analyzed the data to uncover which teams used the most curse words, complained about referees the most, and insulted other teams the most in their chants. Additionally, I created a node-link cloud diagram to visualize the connections between different Premier League teams based on how often they are mentioned in each other's chants. My analysis revealed the complex web of rivalries between teams, as well as the unique ways in which fans express their support and passion. Ultimately, this project offers insight into the different ways fans express themselves and their loyalty to their team, and sheds light on the vibrant culture of football fandom.
