Mitra Abbaspour, an accomplished curator and scholar, discusses transformative moments in modern art, from New York to Casablanca, illuminating artists’ revolutionary practices across cultures and the radically altered perspectives through which they viewed the world. A reception in the Museum will follow. Mitra Abbaspour will soon be responsible for shepherding the Art Museum’s active collecting and exhibitions programs in global art after 1945. Abbaspour most recently served as an associate curator at the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
