Uwe Reinhardt, James Madison Professor of Political Economy and Professor of Economics and Public Affairs at the Woodrow Wilson School, explains the "cost curve" of health care reform and the history of U.S. health care spending. He discusses the impact of increased health care spending on public education, among other national priorities, and compares the cost-effectiveness of the U.S. health care system with other nations.
