Summer Research Colloquium Guest Lecture Series (4/4): How to Effectively Communicate your Research to a Broader Audience.
The Princeton Writing Program will lead a workshop on ‘How to
Effectively Communicate your Research to a Broader Audience’. While you
may have practiced presenting your research to a mentor or members of
your research group this summer, this session will offer strategies for
creating a dynamic and informative 3-5 minute video presentation to be
shared with the current Freshman Scholars Institute participants in
early August. In your assigned breakout room and with the assistance of
your session leader and small group of SRC peers, you will work on
articulating the essential points of your research project this summer:
the What, How, and especially the Why of your work, to a broad,
non-specialist audience.
