Tips, Tricks, and Macros, will cover more advanced topics in Confluence to make the platform work more efficiently for your needs. By the end of the session, you will be able to:
Understand what Confluence is and why you might use Confluence vs. other PUL content-management tools
Log in to Confluence and perform basic site navigation
Format Confluence content using styling macros: Buttons, labels, tips, etc.
Embed external content into Confluence: YouTube videos, Google Docs, web content, and RSS feeds
Insert media into Confluence: Galleries, multimedia, PDFs, MS Office materials
Find and use keyboard shortcuts
Copy/move your page to another Space and set permissions
For the first 40-45 minutes, we will work together hands-on. The last 15-20 minutes will be reserved for independent work time and questions.
Workshops will take place in-person but will be recorded for later viewing. If for any reason we are not able to meet in-person, we will use Zoom as a backup. You may sign up for any of the workshops that appeal to you; no prior knowledge of Confluence is needed. Please feel free to bring your own device; we will have a limited number of PC laptops available if needed.
