TigerJunction is a comprehensive course planning application created independently (not part of any course, organization, or department) by Joshua Lau. Other student applications like ReCal and PrincetonCourses are excellent tools, but since their developers have graduated and they were created with older technology, they have problems adding new features and fixing problems.
TigerJunction was created as a platform to integrate many different existing course planning tools, and extend their functionality with new features. It was developed with tons of community input, and implements highly-demanded features like searching for courses that don't conflict with ones schedule, and integrating ratings into a planning app. The application is built using cutting-edge web technologies like serverless functions, which allow TigerJunction to support large amounts of users for a fraction of the price. TigerJunction is always evolving, with plans to incorporate 4-year plans, AI-powered advising features, and a social aspect. Since its full release this January, TigerJunction has garnered over 2000 users, received overwhelming support among the study body, saw over 1000 daily active users during course selection, and has been mentioned several times by the Daily Princetonian.
The primary mission of TigerJunction is to realize every single course planning feature that the undergraduate community wants to see. It is easy to provide feedback within the app, and Joshua continually asks for community feedback when developing new features.
