Domesday was a "Great Survey" of English landholdings conducted in 1086, following the Norman Conquest of 1066 led by William the Conqueror. This text was digitized and put in CSV form by the team at The Prosopography of Anglo-Saxon England (PASE). In a project for my HUM seminar, Literature as Data, I cleaned this dataset's long list of names and studied only the anonymous women of the dataset, hoping to gain insight into material and quotidian aspects of their lives.
